CCT paper piecing
At last, my picture has loaded, I've striped and remade the beds, had a shower and made coffee whilst waiting for it. I don't know about super fast broadband, mine is super slow, but, it's looking like my machine is at fault as the lads have no trouble picking it up on their mobiles and on other gizmos. It means that commenting is laboriously slow - I am trying to get around to those friends kind enough to leave me a comment but I can't manage everyone, everyday. Back to my DT card for Cute Card Thursday, and this week the challenge is to do a little paper piecing. I'll admit it's not something I like to do, but thought the sails on this little lad's boat might look ok in a patterned paper. I've used little pieces of paper from a Nitwits magazine freebie, including the texts and the faux ribbons with buttons. My base is a kraft C6, I have to use these up so expect a few more smaller cards from me over the coming days/weeks. The little lad is by LOTV coloured with my Copics:
His hair and shoes are the paler E40-44 shades, I used a couple of my newer colours for the hull of the boat, E81 & 84 and also added a little E81 to shade the gingham sails. The reds are the rusty E04, 07 & 09, his sailor jersey is YR30 & 31. I've added a little warm grey shadow and finished with light brown pearls made with my Wacco pearl maker pen.
Just one challenge to enter with this one, Creative Inspirations have an anything goes week!
